Aza Declercq is a Belgian actress with a rich and extensive professional background spanning over 26 years. She began her journey by studying drama at the esteemed Lemmensinstitute of Leuven, followed by further education in Classical and Modern Dance at the School of performing arts/Conservatoire in Antwerp. Additionally, she honed her skills through classes at Cours Florent in Paris, Troubleyn by Viviane de Mynck, and Emio Greco.
Throughout her illustrious career, Aza has been recognized for her exceptional performances, earning nominations for Best Actress at the Maverick Movie awards in 2017 and The Universal Film Festival, US, in 2018. Her impressive repertoire includes a wide range of roles, including a small part as a prostitute alongside Leonardo di Caprio in 'Total Eclipse', the Mother in the Academy Award Nominated Short 'Fait d'Hivers', and Janice in the French production 'The things they left behind', which won the First Prize at the Festival Européen du film fantastique de Strasbourg.
Aza has also made a significant impact in the voice-over industry, serving as one of the main voices for ACHT (television) for over seven years and Canvas for over five years. Her versatility has led to frequent requests for her voice-over services in commercials, audio guides, e-learning books, animation movies, and more.
Beyond her acting and voice-over work, Aza has also explored her creative side as a writer and director. In 2016, she wrote and directed her first short film 'La Muerte de Cupido', followed by her second short film 'Sisters' in 2017 and her third short 'Heritage' in 2019. Currently, she is working on the script for her first feature film 'A Thing to feed'.
Furthermore, Aza has also worked as an assistant director and dialogue-talent coach, recently collaborating with director Gianluca Maria Tavarelli on a new Italian TV series.
