Ayn Carrillo Gailey is the accomplished author of the widely acclaimed memoir "Pornology", which was brought to life in 2020 by Jina Panebianco of MPS Entertainment Group/CaliWood Pictures and Nicholas Bogner and Melanie Greene of Affirmative Entertainment as the feature film "A Nice Girl Like You", starring the talented Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars and Jackie Cruz from Orange Is The New Black.
Her writing career began to take shape during her time at film school, where she penned scripts for renowned networks such as Showtime and Fox. She went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Screenwriting and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),as well as a Master's degree from Harvard University.
Ayn's writing has been featured in prominent publications such as Latina, Cosmopolitan, Documentary, and Elle, and her scripts have been sold or produced by notable entities like 20th Century Fox, 19 Entertainment, and Showtime. She has also had the opportunity to share her expertise on various TV talk shows, was a featured author at The LA Times Festival of Books, and has appeared on esteemed radio stations including KPFK, Maxim, Sirius, and NBC Raw News.
Ayn resides on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Samuel W. Gailey, the critically-acclaimed author of "Deep Winter" and "The Guilt We Carry", and their daughter. Her relationship columns, "Sex Y LA", have been optioned by CaliWood Pictures, and she is currently working on finishing her debut novel and a limited TV series.
