Atlin was born on Denman Island, British Columbia, and spent her early childhood on the move before eventually returning to the West Coast, where she discovered her passion for gymnastics at the tender age of nine. Her natural talent and dedication quickly propelled her to the national team, a feat she achieved within a remarkably short period of time.
However, her gymnastics career was temporarily put on hold when, in grade 10, she underwent ACL surgery, leaving her with a six-month period of light activity. It was during this time that she took an intense acting class, which would later prove to be a pivotal moment in her life.
After making a full recovery from her knee reconstruction, Atlin returned to the gym and continued to hone her skills, eventually earning a full athletic scholarship to the University of Illinois Chicago. Upon graduation, she embarked on a five-year stint with Cirque Du Soleil, performing in various productions, including Saltimbanco and Quidam, across Europe, Mexico, North and South America, as well as participating in special events, such as the pregame show at Super Bowl XLIII.
In 2009, Atlin returned to her hometown and began to pursue a career in stunts, bringing with her a unique combination of professionally trained performance skills and an unparalleled ability to learn on the fly. Her first job was on the set of New Moon, and she quickly established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry, working steadily on various projects and expanding her skill set to include acting, writing, and producing.
