Ashlie was born in San Francisco and spent her formative years in Long Beach, California, where she developed a carefree and down-to-earth demeanor characteristic of the Southern California lifestyle. At a remarkably young age, her mother recognized Ashlie's innate passion and enthusiasm for performing and introduced her to the world of modeling. This marked the beginning of a successful modeling career, with Ashlie landing her first job at just three years old and going on to appear in numerous print ads, fashion shows, and national advertising campaigns for Kmart.
However, by the age of six, Ashlie had lost interest in modeling and began to crave a more interactive and dynamic experience. It was at this point that she started taking acting classes at the prestigious Beverly Hills Acting School, with the unwavering support of her parents. Over the years, Ashlie continued to hone her craft through countless dance, singing, and acting classes, ultimately leading her to land her first television audition, which she aced, securing a co-starring role on the popular Disney show Lizzie McGuire in 2001.
As the popular, pretty, and snobbish junior high student, Kate Sanders, on Lizzie McGuire, Ashlie demonstrated her remarkable acting ability to convincingly portray a character whose attributes are vastly different from her own kind and generous spirit. The show's immense success led to the creation of The Lizzie McGuire Movie, which provided Ashlie with the opportunity to film a feature-length movie and work abroad in Canada and Rome. She cherished the experience, which she considers one of the best in her life so far, as it allowed her to expand her acting skills and gain valuable international experience.
