Art Supawatt, born Supawatt Aumprasit, is a multifaceted individual who has made a name for himself in various fields, including acting, singing, TV hosting, and modeling. Born on September 1, 1969, in Bangkok, Thailand, Art's journey began when he moved to America at the age of 14 to live with his parents in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
He attended Fort Walton Beach High School and later enrolled in Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 1993. Art's academic achievements did not go unnoticed, and he was offered a modeling contract, which led him to put his dreams of working at NASA on hold and pursue a career in modeling.
Art's modeling career took off when he signed with Storm Model Management and began appearing in top fashion magazines, runways, advertisements, and commercials. He later described his time in New York City as the most memorable period of his life, and his appearance in Vogue (magazine),Germany Edition, as the proudest moment in his life.
After a year of working as a model in Thailand, Art received news about numerous job opportunities from his model friend, which prompted him to return to Thailand in 1996. He continued to work as a model for various top fashion magazines, runways, advertisements, and commercials, before landing his big break in 1997 when he was chosen to present a TV commercial for 'Hunter Whiskey.'
As a fluent English and Thai speaker, Art has acted in several Thai language television mini-series (lakorn) and has released his first solo album 'Art of Love' under Warner Music Thailand in 2003. In 2008, he recorded the remake of a classic Southern gospel song "Where We'll Never Grow Old" (Never Grow Old) as the theme song for the soundtrack of English director Thomas Clay's film Soi Cowboy, which was selected for Un Certain Regard at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival.
