Ariane Labed, a multifaceted Greek-born French actress and film director, entered the world on May 8, 1984. She has gained widespread recognition for her impressive feature film debut in Attenberg, for which she received the prestigious Volpi Cup for Best Actress, and her captivating performance in Helen Edmundson's film Mary Magdalene in 2018.

Born to French parents, Ariane Labed spent her early years in Athens, Greece, where she resided for six years, followed by six years in Germany. At the tender age of 12, she relocated to France, where she would later develop her passion for the performing arts.

Labed's academic pursuits led her to the University of Provence, where she underwent basic training in theater, earning a Bachelor of Performing Arts and a Master's degree in Dramaturgy and scenic writing.
