Aparna Balamurali is a renowned Indian actress, predominantly active in the Malayalam film industry. Her educational background began at the prestigious Devamatha CMI Public School in Thrissur, where she completed her schooling. Subsequently, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the esteemed Global Institute of Architecture, situated in Palakkad, Kerala.
Balamurali made her acting debut with the film Yathra Thudarunnu in 2013, marking the beginning of her journey in the Malayalam film industry. Her subsequent film, Oru Second Class Yathra, released in 2015, where she played the lead role of Latha, further solidified her presence in the industry. Her breakthrough performance came with the film Maheshinte Prathikaaram in 2016, where she portrayed the character of Jimsy, directed by Dileesh Pothan. This role earned her immense recognition and acclaim.
Balamurali's subsequent films include Oru Muthassi Gadha, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, in 2016, and Sunday Holiday, directed by Jis Joy, in 2017. Her performance in Thrissivaperoor Kliptham, released in 2017, where she played the role of Girija, a bar owner in the small town of Thrissivaperoor, received widespread critical acclaim. In 2018, she was cast by Rajiv Menon in Sarvam Thaala Mayam.
The following year, Balamurali was cast by B. Unnikrishnan in Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel. In 2020, she played the lead role in the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara, where she portrayed the character of Bommi, a strong-willed and supportive wife who helps her husband, played by Suriya, to realize his dream of starting a low-cost airline.
