Antony D. Lane is a talented and dedicated independent filmmaker, hailing from Grimsby but currently based in Kent. For the past nine years, he has been tirelessly working on his dream project, the feature film "Invasion of the Not Quite Dead", which is now entering its final stages of production. Additionally, he has been concurrently developing a feature-length documentary on the band Wheatus, titled "Wheatus, you might die", which is currently in post-production.
Throughout his career, Antony has gained experience in creating music videos for a variety of artists, including Wheatus, Math the Band, MC Frontalot, Mark Johnson, Gabrielle Sterbenz, Creeds Cross, Shapla Salique, Late Cambrian, and Clan of Celts. His work has spanned multiple genres, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as a filmmaker.
In 2015, Antony was part of the production team for the film "Shed of the Dead", where he handled behind-the-scenes and b-roll footage for the making-of documentary. He also directed a TV pilot, "HELP! I'm being Haunted", and served as the main editor for Arne Sjögren's innovative multimedia experimental short, "Diving". This unique film employed live and previously recorded scenes, edited together using split screens, and premiered at the "In Process (2015) An Exhibition of Media and Arts Doctoral Research".
Towards the end of 2015, Antony was involved in the production of the festive slasher film "Christmas Slay", which was released on Amazon Prime. He took on the role of director of photography and also made a cameo appearance in the film.
In February and March 2016, Antony created two music videos: one for Clan of Celts, featuring a slow-motion bar room brawl, and another for Late Cambrian, tackling the topic of mental illness. The latter, titled "Just Another Broken Clock", is now being submitted to short film festivals around the world.
