Antonio Aakeel, a talented British actor, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry through his impressive performances in various films and television shows. Born in Wolverhampton, England, to an Indian mother and an English father, Antonio spent his childhood moving around the West Midlands before settling in Birmingham.
He pursued his passion for acting at a local theatre, honing his craft before making the move to London. It was here that he was scouted by a talent agent, marking the beginning of his journey in the industry.
Antonio's breakthrough role came when he was selected for the BAFTA award-winning drama series Skins (2007),a nationwide search for fresh acting talent. He appeared in series 3, showcasing his acting abilities to a wider audience.
Since then, Antonio has appeared in a range of projects, including the critically acclaimed films City of Tiny Lights (2016) and Three Girls (2017). He has also starred in the upcoming comedy feature Eaten by Lions (2017),opposite Johnny Vegas, and the dark Shakespearean feature adaptation The Hungry (2017),directed by Bornila Chatterjee.
One of Antonio's most notable roles to date is that of Nitin Ahuja in Warner Bros' Tomb Raider (2018) franchise reboot, starring opposite Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander and directed by Roar Uthaug.
