Biography

Anthony Lemke is a renowned Canadian actor, best recognized for his portrayal of "Three" or Marcus Boone in the action-drama television series Dark Matter on Syfy.

Born in Ottawa, Canada, Lemke pursued his passion for theatre by studying at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. In 2000, he landed his first series regular role as the mercenary Marcus Grisham in the USA Network's fantasy-genre series The Queen of Swords, which was praised by Variety Magazine as a "guilty pleasure". Additionally, he played James Murphy, the son of Alex Murphy (aka RoboCop),in RoboCop: Prime Directives, a four-part mini-series that aired in 2001.

Lemke furthered his education by enrolling in law school at the McGill University Faculty of Law in Montreal, while simultaneously maintaining his acting career by securing regular and recurring roles in TV productions shot in Montreal and Toronto. Notable appearances include co-leading opposite Lea Thompson in the 2008 Gemini Awards-nominated TV movie A Life Interrupted.

Upon returning to acting full-time after law school, Lemke accumulated a diverse range of credits in both English and French. In 2008, he joined the cast of Radio Canada's comedy-drama Les Hauts et les bas de Sophie Paquin, playing the character David Rothstein, which Montreal newspaper La Presse praised as one of the few anglophone characters to resonate with Quebecers. He went on to appear in recurring roles on Gémeaux Award-nominated TV series Mémoires Vives, Mirador, and Nouvelle Adresse.

In 2011, Lemke joined the casts of SpikeTV's cult college classic Blue Mountain State and Syfy's Lost Girl, as well as taking on a lead role in the movie Rouge Sang, where he portrayed a charismatic British soldier. The film garnered three Canadian Screen Award nominations.

In 2014, Lemke reprised his role of Brian Becker in the fifth season of CTV and Fox International's The Listener, a role he initially played during season one. He also began a multiple-episode run as Dan Malloy on CTV and Bravo's acclaimed cop-drama 19-2, which received 10 Canadian Screen Award nominations, including best dramatic series. Furthermore, Lemke was cast as Three, aka Marcus Boone, in the sci-fi television series Dark Matter on Syfy, a role he played in all 39 episodes across three seasons from 2015 to 2017.
