Annie Thurman

Annie Thurman, a bright-eyed and spirited young woman from Tennessee, had grown accustomed to the simple life her hometown offered, but her zealous heart yearned for more. After performing in a school play, she decided to pursue acting as a career at the tender age of 13. She enrolled in classes and workshops, some of which were held at The Actors School in Franklin, Tennessee, where she met her future manager and agent. They encouraged her to venture to Los Angeles to learn more about the industry and "test the waters." At 14, her big break arrived when she landed the role of Cora in the post-apocalyptic film "Falls the Shadow." Shortly thereafter, she was cast as the female Tribute from District 9 in "The Hunger Games," alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. This marked the beginning of her successful career, with subsequent roles in the supernatural thriller "Dark Skies" in 2013, alongside Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, and Dakota Goyo, and Hallmark's presentation "The Santa Switch" later that year. Thurman's face has also appeared in national commercials, including Oscar Mayer and Little Debbie. After a month-long Christmas break in Nashville, she returned to Los Angeles for the 2014 Pilot Season, where her hard work and dedication paid off. She landed a lead role as Sophie in the TNT pilot "Proof," starring Jennifer Beals, Matthew Modine, and executive produced by Kyra Sedgwick. The pilot was soon ordered to series and is set to premiere in 2015. In her free time, Annie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing the ukulele, cello, and participating in Tennessee summer fun with friends while driving her Jeep. She is also an animal lover and advocate, with two dogs, three cats, and one overweight bunny awaiting her return to Nashville.
