Biography

Anne Lambton's journey in the arts commenced at the tender age of 17, when a chance encounter with Andy Warhol's manager at a charity event led to an unexpected offer of employment at 'The Factory', Warhol's iconic New York City studio, which was initially inhabited by his eclectic circle of friends, known as 'Warhol Superstars', and later evolved into a hub of avant-garde art, fashion, and culture. Initially, Lambton was nonchalant about the opportunity, but she eventually reconsidered to become Warhol's bodyguard. Their relationship was marked by turmoil, to put it mildly, yet it endured until Warhol's untimely passing in 1986.

Following Warhol's death, Lambton transitioned to film, taking on understated yet edgier roles, including a dominatrix in the punk rock romantic tragedy Sid and Nancy (1986),and an evil, snake charming witch in the dark fantasy film, The Witches (1990).
