At the tender age of five, she embarked on a journey of artistic expression by commencing ballet lessons at the prestigious Royal Opera in Stockholm. This marked the beginning of her foray into the world of performance, as she secured small roles in various ballet productions. As her experience and confidence grew, she began to crave the spotlight, and her aspirations shifted towards acting. With a sense of determination, she applied to become a student at the esteemed Royal Dramatic Theatre, but unfortunately, she failed to pass the final examination. Undeterred, she decided to hone her craft at Oscarsteatern theater, where she collaborated with notable actors Sigge Fürst and Sture Lagerwall. Additionally, she took part in revues by the renowned Ernst Rolf. Simultaneously, she began to make her mark in the film industry, securing minor roles in movies such as Fridas visor (1930) and, in 1932, she was signed as a contract player by Svensk Filmindustri (SF). Her breakthrough came with the film Vaermlaenningarna (1932),and her career continued to flourish throughout the 1930s and 1940s, interspersed with numerous stage appearances at the theatre, including revues by Kar de Mumma. She shared the screen with notable actors, including Nils Poppe, in memorable films such as Blåjackor (1945),Tappa inte sugen (1947),and Greven från gränden (1949). In the 1950s, she starred in a string of detective movies alongside Karl-Arne Holmsten, cementing her status as a talented and versatile actress.
