Anna Moore is an American actress born in San Francisco, California to Mary Judith Pleissner, an archaeologist, and Dr. Stephen Moore, PhD, a statistician. Her ancestry comprises English, Swedish, and French roots. During her adolescent years, Moore studied drama and dance, starring in numerous school plays and musicals, and eventually performing in local Regional Theatre productions while in high school.
At the age of seventeen, Moore relocated to New York City to pursue her acting career, where she attended and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama, earning honors in the process. She furthered her education by studying Classical Theatre and Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, UK, and at the International Theatre Workshop in Amsterdam, NL.
Moore's initial breakthrough came when she appeared alongside Uma Thurman in the feature film "The Life Before Her Eyes," directed by Vadim Perelman. Her subsequent breakthrough role as "Alice" in the feature film "Fighting Fish" garnered her critical acclaim and numerous awards, including "Best Actress in a Feature Film" at the Domani Vision Film Festival in New York City and "Best Picture" at the La Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.
