Anna's journey in the entertainment industry began in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, where she worked on various location sets, including Western-themed shows like Gunsmoke and High Chaparral, which sparked a lifelong passion for the genre.
After completing her education at the University of Arizona, majoring in Nursing, and later transferring to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, to pursue a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting, Anna's life took a dramatic turn when she married her high school sweetheart and followed him as he became an Air Force pilot.
The couple eventually settled in Shreveport, Louisiana, where Anna began working on commercials and industrials, including a brief stint on the popular TV show "Dallas" alongside Larry Hagman and Linda Gray.
When her husband planned to leave the Air Force, Anna made the bold decision to move to New York City and pursue a career in acting. Her husband, meanwhile, went on to become a commercial pilot.
Anna's early success in the North East led her to study the craft of acting and land a role in an Off-Broadway play, which in turn led to an audition for the NBC soap opera "Another World." Although a soap opera was not her initial dream, she stayed with the show for seven years, earning a Daytime Emmy in 1996 for her portrayal of Sharlene Frame.
After taking a 13-year hiatus to focus on her family, Anna returned to the entertainment industry, this time with a deeper commitment to theater and a more flexible schedule. She has since appeared in numerous plays, guest spots, and feature films, solidifying her status as a talented and enduring actress.
Anna is married to retired Delta pilot Bruce Holbrook and has two children, Johanna and Henry, with whom she resides in Connecticut.
