Anjori Alagh was born into a prominent Hindi-speaking family in India, her parents being accomplished individuals in their respective fields. Her mother, Maya, is a renowned Bollywood actress, while her father, Sunil, held the esteemed position of Chief Executive Officer at Britannia Industries. Anjori has a younger sister, Sawari, who is married to Sameer Nair, the Chief of NDTV, and they have a daughter together named Midori. The name "Anjori" is derived from the Sanskrit word for the first beam of moonlight, signifying a bright and radiant presence.
From a young age, Anjori was exposed to the world of modeling, commencing her career at the tender age of four in various advertisements, including campaigns for Maggi and Kodak alongside Prahlad Kakkar. She continued to model until the age of ten, when she decided to prioritize her education and relocate to the United States to pursue a degree in economics and business management in Ohio.
During her summer breaks, Anjori would join the Stanford Acting School, where she discovered her passion for acting and made the bold decision to leave her studies behind, return to India, and enroll in the Namit Kapoor Acting Academy. Anjori is well-versed in the classical Indian dance form of Kathak and is currently learning the nuances of Bollywood dancing styles from the renowned choreographer, Saroj Khan.
Anjori's mother played a significant role in facilitating her entry into the acting world, introducing her to several producers and filmmakers. Her big break came when she landed a role in the film "Life Mein Kabhie Kabhie" after being introduced to the acclaimed director, Vikram Bhatt.
