Biography

Anibal O. Lleras, a Puerto Rican native, embarked on a lifelong journey in the world of drama, defying conventional educational norms by not completing high school. Instead, he dedicated himself to honing his craft, studying under the tutelage of renowned instructors Willian Hickey, Sandy Dennis, and Ed Morehouse at the prestigious HB studios. This intense, decade-long apprenticeship proved to be a transformative experience, with Hickey himself acknowledging Anibal as one of his favorite students.

This fortuitous encounter with his mentor played a pivotal role in propelling Anibal's career, as it was none other than Robert De Niro who provided the catalyst for his ascension to Hollywood stardom. With De Niro's endorsement, Anibal made the bold decision to venture to Tinseltown, where he landed a starring role in the 1993 film "No Escape No Return," directed by Charlie Kangainis. Alongside a talented cast, including John Saxon, Michael Nouri, and Maxwell Caulfield, Anibal brought the character of Caesar to life on the big screen. This breakthrough performance marked the beginning of a prolific career in Hollywood, with Anibal going on to appear in numerous productions that cemented his status as a talented and versatile actor.
