Angel Rosario Jr. is a native of Chicago, having grown up in the Logan Square and Humboldt Park neighborhoods within the city. Born to Puerto Rican parents Mirta Rosario (née Pola) and Angel Rosario Sr., he is a proud product of his heritage.
Angel's educational background includes graduating from the Roberto Clemente Community Academy in 2009, and briefly attending the University of Illinois's Chicago campus.
In 2012, Angel began training for a career in professional wrestling, making his debut on the independent circuit in June of that year. He has since performed for various promotions, including Chicago Style Wrestling, Adrenaline Ringside Wrestling in Indiana, and GALLI Lucha Libre in Villa Park, IL. Notably, he is a former Chicago Style Wrestling - Northland Heavyweight Champion.
In addition to his professional wrestling endeavors, Angel pursued a career in acting in 2015. He started by serving as an extra on various TV shows, including Fox's Empire and NBC-Universal's Chicago Fire, Chicago PD. He has also appeared in several independent films and landed speaking roles on TV shows such as Chicago Med.
In 2020, Angel wrote and starred in a short film called "Clown Shoes," which premiered at the Breakout Film Festival in 2023, where he received the Best Actor award.
Since then, Angel has continued to build his acting resume, appearing in projects such as Paramount's Run & Gun, Panhandle, The Winchesters, FBI: Most Wanted, Big Sky, Cobra Kai, Black Adam, and season 1 of MacGruber. He has also starred as "Jorge Padilla" in Law and Order: SVU's 23rd season, recurred in FX's Mayans, and played the roles of "Rafael Nuñez" in Power Book IV: Force and "Robbie Trucotte" in Tulsa King.
