Ana Maria Lagasca was born in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, and spent her early years in Italy, where she grew up speaking three languages: English, Spanish, and Italian. Her father's service in the U.S. Navy led to the family's relocation to Sicily, Italy, when Ana was just eight months old. Later, they moved to Naples, Italy, where she spent her adolescence before eventually settling in the United States.
Ana's early love for performing began when she attended nursery school in Sicily, where she learned Italian songs for the Christmas recital at the tender age of three. This marked the beginning of her passion for the performing arts.
Ana Maria Lagasca's academic achievements are impressive. She attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida, on a Theatre Scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After her time in Miami, she moved to New York City for a brief period before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
Ana made her film debut in the PBS Masterpiece Theatre movie-of-the-week, Almost a Woman. She has since accumulated numerous guest and co-star credits on television, as well as experience in commercials, voice overs for film, video games, animation, and translating for foreign projects. Her voice has also been featured in several musical projects.
In addition to her acting endeavors, Ana has honed her skills in Vocal Performance at the renowned Musicians Institute in Hollywood and taken Screenwriting courses at UCLA. She has also been a practicing yoga instructor since 2001 and has taught Mindfulness Meditation. In 2016, Ana completed the UCLA Training in Mindfulness Facilitation at the Mindful Awareness Research Center, which is accredited by the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior.
