Ana Clavell is a multifaceted professional with a remarkable 20-year career in the Film and Television Industries. Her expertise lies in cross-cultural themes and international co-productions, as well as technical aspects of production and post-production.
With a specialty in re-writing, directing, and re-purposing intellectual properties, Ana has traveled extensively to places such as New York, Paris, Madrid, London, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and Shanghai. Her exceptional skills have made her a sought-after professional, with both aspiring writers and established producers seeking her guidance on positioning and selling their creative endeavors.
Ana's academic background includes an alma mater of the University of London and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She began her career in London, working as a stage manager in the Classical Music and Stage Musical Industries. Her transition to Film and Television was a natural progression, having joined Paradiso Films in Puerto Rico as an AD and in Post Production.
Ana's move to Los Angeles in 1992 marked the beginning of her directing career, with a focus on music videos and shorts. During her 15-year tenure as VP at Taurus Entertainment, Ana's work was broadcast domestically on SyFy Networks, Showtime Networks, and HBO Video On Demand, among others. Her work has also been exhibited globally.
More recently, Ana directed the critically acclaimed short film Pasaje for Scene 51 and the Ricky Martin Foundation. She has also extended her efforts to launch a new web-based platform for short format content, Zanzibaa, which is currently in beta testing.
As of 2011, Ana is co-developing a music-driven reality show for Asia and has a feature film lined up for co-production with the US, China, and Latin America.
