Biography

Amy Paffrath is a highly driven and ambitious individual who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, to parents Mark and Mary Paffrath, Amy has always been a high-energy individual who is not afraid to take on new challenges.

Growing up in a family with modest means, the Paffraths learned to be creative and resourceful when it came to entertaining themselves. Amy's mother, Mary, enrolled her in ballet, tap, and jazz classes at the age of three, and she quickly fell in love with performing.

As she grew older, Amy continued to pursue her passion for the performing arts, experimenting with theatre and enlisting the help of her friends to put on plays. She also discovered her interest in gymnastics, winning numerous awards and medals in competitions.

Amy's interest in television began during her high school years, where she worked in the media department, both in front of and behind the camera. She signed with Toni's International Models in 1997 and began booking local jobs, including runway shows and print ads.

After high school, Amy attended the University of Missouri, where she was a University of Missouri Tiger cheerleader and worked as a reporter and anchor for KOMU-TV and Emcee at Déjà vu Comedy Club. She also interned at Entertainment Tonight and KNBC in the summer of 2004.

In 2005, Amy graduated from the University of Missouri with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Textile and Apparel Management. She then made the move to Los Angeles, where she quickly landed hosting gigs on two shows, "Created by U" and "In the Mix", both on Direct-TV.

Amy has also appeared in four movies in 2006, including "Dinner at Eight", "Moonlight on Ivy", "Fly Kidz", and "Hauntsville", in which she was the lead. She has also worked as the voice of channel 101 on Direct-TV, the host of Broadcaster News at www.broadcaster.com/the-news, and the star of Paramore's #1 video on TRL "Misery Business".

Amy is managed by Scott Karp and Erik Heintz at Insomnia Media Group.
