Amr Wahba's Journey from Port Said to Fame
Amr Wahba, a young talent, has been making his way to fame through social media. His journey began with gaining popularity on social networking sites, and he eventually became a celebrity. However, achieving success and gaining the attention of stars before the audience is an extraordinary feat.
Amr Wahba was born in Port Said and graduated from the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Al-Azhar University. He worked as a marketing officer at Mobinil Company before deciding to pursue his passion for acting and writing. He began writing satirically and joined the editorial team of the "Abu Hafidha" program presented by Akram Hosni.
Amr Wahba's ambition was greater, and he started creating satirical videos, which became his gateway to appearing in front of the audience. He was accepted, and Ahmed Amin advised him to film videos, which he started with a mockery of some stars without fearing their annoyance. Through the "Stars You Love Egypt" program, he commented on artworks and their stars, sometimes with sarcastic criticism, but the audience loved his program, and he achieved fame.
Many stars expressed their admiration for him, including Ahmed El-Sakka, Amr Youssef, and Mohamed Ramadan, who wrote one of his videos. However, not everyone was pleased with his comments, and Mai Izz Al-Din was slightly annoyed by his remarks on her series, leading to her fans attacking him.
After achieving fame, Amr Wahba joined the "SNL Arabic" program in its third and fourth seasons, presenting paragraphs that were among the most viewed in the program. The real beginning of his acting career was when he received some special lessons and then had the opportunity to participate in the movie "Mewlana," where his role was not great, but he left a trail in the audience and began to gain recognition.
He decided to appear differently, presenting in the series "Kalbash 2" the character of the Israeli spy, with a serious performance and scenes of his gathering with "Salim Al Ansari" facing him with full force. His scenes were due to his participation in "SNL in Arabic," as director Peter Mimi recognized him and nominated him for this role.
After "Kalbash," he participated in the 2018 movie "Al-Kwaisin" with Ahmed Fahmy, Hussein Fahmy, Sherine Reda, Bayoumi Fouad, and a group of stars. He also appeared in the series "Badal Al-Hadouta 3" in the first story with the character "Rumman" and the second story, "Yahya," a romantic young man who seeks to get closer to his girlfriend.
Amr Wahba had a strange coincidence with the great artist Adel Imam, who he met in his house and sat with him for a long time. He recounted during a meeting on the "An-Nahar Street" program about the coincidence, which gathered him with the leader.
In addition to acting, Amr Wahba became a radio presenter, presenting a morning program on "Radio Energy" and a radio series entitled "We want to marry on the Eid" with his colleague Mai Ibrahim. Despite his busy schedule, he always prefers publishing his diaries with his son, Yahya, showing his way of dealing with him and his friendship with him.
