Noted filmmaker and entrepreneur, Raj Kumar Sharma, has made a significant impact in the Indian film industry with his notable works. He gained recognition for directing and producing the National Award-winning film, Badhaai Ho, in 2018, and later directed the Septimius Award-winning film, Maidaan, in 2024.
Sharma began his journey in the film industry by making his directorial debut with Tevar in 2015. However, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Chrome Pictures, an advertisement and film production house in Mumbai, along with Aleya Sen and Hemant Bhandari, in 2004.
Throughout his career, Sharma has produced and directed over 6000 ads for leading brands like Facebook, Google, Amazon, and many more. He has collaborated with reputable agencies like Lowe Lintas, JWT, McCann, and Ogilvy and Mather, among others.
Sharma's work has received widespread recognition across nationally and internationally recognized platforms, including The Cannes Lion, ProMax Asia Awards, New York Film Festival, and Spikes Awards.
In addition to his film and advertising ventures, Sharma has expanded his expertise across multiple verticals. He heads Planet Chrome, a post-production studio, and Minikin DGWorks, the digital arm of his parent company, Chrome Pictures. Moreover, he leads the non-profit organization, Phool Versha Foundation (PVF).
