Amira El Sayed is a multifaceted Austrian-Egyptian actress, currently residing in Berlin, Germany, with a rich cultural background shaped by her early years in Alexandria, Egypt, where she was raised bilingual in both Arabic and German.
Her academic pursuits took her to the esteemed Max Reinhardt-Seminar, where she honed her acting skills before leaving university after her first year to pursue a theatre play by Paul Schrader, which ultimately caught the attention of her agent.
Aside from her acting career, Amira El Sayed is also a published author, having written a book titled "Klang der Freiheit" /"Sound of freedom", which delves into the political developments in Egypt. The book was released in 2013 by the Austrian publishing house "Letter P".
Currently based in Berlin, Amira El Sayed has expanded her professional horizons, starring in her first international film, "A Hologram for the King", alongside Tom Hanks and directed by Tom Tykwer.
