Alyssa Goss, a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, embarked on an unconventional journey, initially drawn to the world of acting, yet chose to pursue a career as a Pediatrician instead. Her academic pursuits took her to Spelman College, America's oldest historically black college for women, where she worked towards a double Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Biology. Not content to stay on campus, Alyssa decided to broaden her horizons by studying abroad in Munich, Germany.
Upon her return to the United States, Alyssa relocated to Los Angeles, California, to dedicate herself to acting full-time. Her breakthrough role came in 2018 when she portrayed Alicia Etheredge-Brown in the NAACP award-winning BET Mini-series, The Bobby Brown Story. Critics praised Alyssa's ethereal yet complex portrayal of Alicia, Bobby Brown's current wife, for its depth and nuance.
Alyssa's impressive performance in The Bobby Brown Story was followed by her appearance in the fun and irreverent comedy, How High 2. Her ability to seamlessly transition between dramatic and comedic roles makes her a standout in the dramedy series, Tyler Perry's BRUH, in which she has starred for four seasons.
