Alyssa Elaine Diaz is a talented American actress, born on September 7, 1985, in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
Born to parents of Colombian and Mexican ancestry, Alyssa has one brother named Michael, and she is a proud graduate of Bishop Alemany High School.
Diaz's acting career began with a significant role as Celia Ortega on the CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns, from February 9, 2005, until August 10, 2005. Her character's departure from the show was to join her relatives in Montega.
Throughout her career, Alyssa has made numerous television appearances, including guest-starring roles in Southland, CSI: NY, and Lie to Me. She has also starred in the film How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer and in the television films Ben 10: Alien Swarm and The Jensen Project.
In 2011, Diaz landed the starring role of Jasmine on the ABC Family series The Nine Lives of Chloe King. The following year, she took on the recurring role of Gloria Cruz on Army Wives, and was later upgraded to series regular for the show's seventh season, which premiered in March 2013.
In addition to her work on Army Wives, Alyssa has also appeared in The Vampire Diaries.
In March 2016, Diaz secured the role of Dariela, a series regular, on the CBS drama Zoo for its second season.
