Biography

Alvin Cowan is a seasoned actor, writer, and producer from Austin, Texas, who has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned individuals such as Clint Eastwood, James Caan, Bradley Cooper, and Bruce Willis.

With a strong affinity for sports, Alvin's exceptional football skills earned him a spot as a record-setting quarterback at Yale University, where he was inducted onto the prestigious All-Era Team. His impressive athletic career also saw him participate in short training camps with both the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL).

Following his departure from professional football, Alvin relocated to Los Angeles, where he embarked on his entertainment career as an actor. His breakthrough role came when he landed a part in Clint Eastwood's critically acclaimed film, "American Sniper." He subsequently appeared in Season 2 of the acclaimed HBO series, "Westworld," and held a recurring role in Seasons 3 and 5 of the Emmy-nominated drama, "This Is Us." Most recently, he made a notable guest appearance in a major role during the final season of the AMC hit, "Better Call Saul."

Behind the scenes, Alvin remains passionate about writing, having penned a pilot that garnered significant interest from Netflix, with Eric Tannenbaum and Jonas Pate attached. He is currently developing a sports/war feature based on the #1 Amazon bestseller, "The Cloudbuster Nine," while also adapting the feature film version of the coming-of-age drama, "Raft of Stars." Alvin has collaborated on numerous projects with and for industry heavyweights such as Basil Iwanyk, Mona Scott Young, and Entertainment One.

During the pandemic, Alvin ventured into the world of podcasting, writing and producing the #1 rated documentary podcast, "American Coyote: The Legend of Elden Kidd," which reached #22 on the overall charts on Apple Podcasts. He is currently in production on additional audio projects with Cavalry Media/Dana Brunetti, The Athletic, Dear Media, and AudioUp.

When not working, Alvin can be found enjoying the great outdoors, splitting his time between Los Angeles and Bend, Oregon with his wife, Laura, daughter, Stella, and their dog, Hank.
