Ally Pankiw is a talented Canadian writer and director, renowned for her exceptional work in the entertainment industry. She has made a significant impact by directing the entire first season of Netflix's popular series "Feel Good", as well as contributing to other notable TV shows such as Hulu's "Shrill" and "The Great". Her writing credits include the critically acclaimed TV show "Schitt's Creek", and she is currently developing an original series with Dan Levy, the star and creator of "Schitt's Creek", for Hulu and 20th Century Fox Animation.
In addition to her television work, Pankiw has also ventured into feature films, writing and directing the indie dramedy "Brooke & Sam", which stars Rachel Sennott and Jason Jones. The film was produced in collaboration with Telefilm, Ontario Creates, and WME Independent. In 2021, she directed the pilot for the NBC comedy series "Someone Out There".
Pankiw's extensive experience in music videos has led her to work with renowned artists such as Ariana Grande, Janelle Monae, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, The Vamps, and Lil Jon. Pankiw has directed two CBC Comedy digital series, "An Awkward Girl Dates" and "Terrific Women", which was nominated for a 2018 Canadian Screen Award for best series. Her feature film, "The Hiding House", was selected as one of Film Independent's 2018 Directing Lab fellows, and her career has been supported by organizations such as TIFF, the Harold Greenberg Fund, Bell Media, and the OMDC.
