Allison's journey in the world of dance began when she was just five years old, a typical Brooklyn girl who followed in the footsteps of her peers by attending ballet class. As she grew older, her passion for dance only intensified, and she was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to the prestigious Dan Durrie Dance Center, where she honed her craft throughout her high school years.
Upon entering UCLA as a dance major, Allison's academic pursuits took a dramatic turn when she graduated with high honors in theater. This marked the beginning of her transition from a life on stage as a performer to one behind the scenes as a choreographer, director, and producer.
For several years, Allison's talents were showcased in a variety of roles, including actress and dancer, with a repertoire that spanned jazz, Broadway, swing, salsa, and all partner dances. However, she soon found herself drawn to the world of choreographing, directing, and producing, where she could utilize her creativity and skills to bring new and innovative stories to life.
In 2018, Allison embarked on a new and exciting chapter in her career when she began studying to become an intimacy director and coordinator. Under the guidance of three leading companies in three countries, she immersed herself in the art of creating safe and respectful environments for actors to perform in.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Allison is also dedicating time to learning American Sign Language, a skill that will undoubtedly enhance her ability to connect with the diverse range of individuals she encounters in her work. As a "local hire" in both Los Angeles and New York, Allison is well-versed in the unique demands and opportunities presented by these two major hubs for the performing arts.
