Alisen Down, a talented actress born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, embarked on her journey in the world of drama after completing her high school education. She pursued her passion for acting by attending the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, California. This marked the beginning of her journey to hone her craft, as she soon after traveled to England to further her studies at the British American Academy in Oxford.
Since then, Alisen has had the privilege of playing a wide range of roles in various television series and movies. Her impressive repertoire includes lead, recurring, and guest star appearances in shows such as "Cold Squad", for which she won both a Leo and a Gemini award, "DaVinci's Inquest", "The Dead Zone", "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate Universe", "Smallville", "Flashpoint", "Shattered", "The 'L' Word", "The Life", for which she was nominated for another Gemini, "The Killing", "Murdoch Mysteries", CBC's "Cracked", R.L. Stein's "The Haunting Hour", "Lost Girl" as Trick's wife, Isabeau, and "Supernatural" among many others.
Alisen's impressive list of credits also includes a two-year run on "Mysterious Ways" as 'Miranda' for NBC and PAX, which earned her a Leo nomination, as well as recurring roles for two seasons on "Battlestar Galactica" as 'Jean Barolay'. Moreover, she starred for three years in "Robson Arms" as 'Sault Ste. Marie', a character that was nominated for another two Leos. Alisen was a series lead in Fox's highly anticipated "Gracepoint" and starred for four seasons on SyFy's "12 Monkeys", recently named a "show you should be watching" by Entertainment Weekly.
