Alina Pokrovskaya is a renowned Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, boasting membership in the prestigious Union of Theater Workers of Russia and the esteemed title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
Born in Stalino, now known as Donetsk, Alina hailed from a family of artists, with her mother, Aleksandra Andreevna Kovalenko, being a singer and actress, and her father serving as a conductor for the Philharmonic. In 1946, at the tender age of six, Alina made her stage debut on tour with her mother in the Baltics, where she played a young girl in the dance composition "Meeting". Following the war, the family relocated to Moscow.
Alina's theatrical journey continued at the Higher Theater School named after Mikhail Shchepkin, where she graduated under the guidance of Leonid Volkov. Since 1962, she has been a respected actress at the Central Theater of the Soviet Army, now rebranded as the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army.
While Alina's filmography may not be extensive, her cinematic endeavors have undoubtedly left a lasting impression. One of her most notable roles was that of Lyuba Trofimova in the 1971 film "Officers" directed by Vladimir Rogovoy, a testament to her versatility and talent as a thespian.
