Biography

Alexis Jacknow is a multifaceted storyteller based in Los Angeles, with a diverse range of creative endeavors to her name. Her most recent achievement is the release of her Hulu Original feature film, Clock, a psychological thriller that boasts an impressive cast, including Dianna Agron and Melora Hardin. Clock made its world premiere at the prestigious Overlook Film Festival, where it received an Audience Award. The film has also garnered widespread critical acclaim, with numerous publications, including People, Variety, Collider, Esquire, and Marie Claire, praising it as one of the "Best Horror Films of 2023".

In addition to her feature film work, Jacknow has also made a name for herself in the world of short films. Her debut short, Again, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was later distributed by Amazon. Her other notable shorts include Costume Change, which was produced in collaboration with FX and Freeform, and Overnight, which earned her a WGA Award nomination for Short Form Original.

As a writer, Jacknow is currently developing two feature scripts: The Villager, a drama that was selected for the 2019 IFP Week No Borders Selection, and The Blindings, a horror feature in development with 21 Laps. Her feature script, AIDa, was recently featured on the 2024 Black List.

As an actor, Jacknow has had a diverse career, with credits in film, television, theater, and numerous national commercials.
