Alexey A. Petrukhin was born on March 12, 1973, in the Moscow region of Russia. During his high school years, he was actively involved in sports, which ultimately led him to enroll in the Russian State Academy of Physical Culture after graduation.
Simultaneously, Petrukhin pursued higher education at the Moscow State Juridical University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, graduating in 2002. He then ventured into the film industry, concurrently taking Acting courses at the Acting Mastership Courses.
In 2005, Petrukhin earned the degree of Doctor of Juridical Science from the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of the MIA of RF. His first film appearance as both producer and actor was in the 2004 movie "Jacked$", which garnered a record-breaking 1,123 media reviews.
The success of "Jacked$" was followed by the release of the blockbuster "Velvet Revolution" in 2005. In 2008, Petrukhin starred in the Georgian film "The Last Quest". Currently, he is working on several international projects, including the film adaptation of N.V. Gogol's "Viy", in which he plays a producer and actor.
Furthermore, Petrukhin is preparing to make his directorial debut with the tragic farce "To Be or Not To Be", which is loosely based on William Shakespeare's "Hamlet".
