Alexa was born in the vibrant city of Honolulu, Hawaii, a place that would later influence her artistic inclinations. As a "military brat", she moved numerous times throughout her youth, but one constant remained - her unwavering passion for the arts and her desire to act on stage and in film.
As she grew older, Alexa's dedication to her craft only intensified, ultimately leading her to graduate in 2012 from the esteemed drama program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. This prestigious institution would provide her with a solid foundation in the performing arts, and she would go on to achieve great things.
During her time at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Alexa would participate in several notable events and competitions. She was a National Semi-Finalist at The English Speaking Union's National Shakespeare Competition, held at the esteemed Lincoln Center in New York City. Additionally, she would attend the North Carolina Governor's School Summer Conservatory for theater in 2011, further honing her skills.
Alexa's impressive accomplishments did not go unnoticed, as she was invited to speak at the prestigious TEDx Raleigh event. Her speech focused on the significance of female roles in Shakespeare's plays, a topic that would later become a defining aspect of her work.
In recognition of her outstanding talent, Alexa would receive the Merit Award Winner of the Young Arts Award, given by the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts for Theater. This prestigious award would serve as a testament to her dedication and passion for the performing arts.
