Paris-born Alex Noyer, raised in a family with deep roots in Finnish and French art and media, was destined for a life of creative pursuits. After studying advertising in London, Noyer founded You Know, a pioneering creative production agency, in 2004. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career, which would span numerous industries and mediums.
Under the You Know banner, Noyer delivered innovative content for prominent brands such as L'Oreal, Nokia, Durex, and Jaegermeister. However, his passion for storytelling soon led him to venture into the world of documentaries. With a deep understanding of the art world, having grown up in it, Noyer wrote and produced several films and programs, including a short film exploring the mind of renowned artist Julian Schnabel.
Noyer's creative journey continued to evolve, as he delved into music stories, conceptualizing and producing the critically acclaimed film "808". This documentary, which featured an all-star cast of musicians including Phil Collins, The Beastie Boys, Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Questlove, and Rick Rubin, told the story of the legendary TR808 drum machine. In association with Atlantic Records, Noyer produced and executive produced "808", which made history as the first music documentary to be released on Apple Music.
With two decades of storytelling experience and a lifelong passion for genre films, Noyer set his sights on directing innovative thrillers and horror films. His award-winning short film "Conductor" and its feature adaptation, "Sound Of Violence", premiered at SXSW 2021 to widespread critical acclaim. The latter was widely regarded as one of the festival's standout hits, cementing Noyer's reputation as a master of his craft.
