A'Lelia Bundles is a renowned author, journalist, and television producer, best known for her book "On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker", a definitive biography of her great-great-grandmother, Madam C. J. Walker.

A'Lelia Bundles began her television news career in 1976 in New York with NBC News, where she spent 13 years before joining ABC News as a producer with World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in Washington, DC.
