Alaric began his career in the Singapore film and television industry at the tender age of seventeen, when he landed a supporting role in the 1998 feature film "That's the Way I Like It," directed by Glen Goei and distributed by Miramax.
As he continued to hone his craft, Alaric appeared in numerous films and television shows, solidifying his reputation as Singapore's next big comedic star. His early works, including "Money" (2000) and "Whizzes Of The Void Deck" (2003-2005),showcased his impressive range and versatility as a comedic actor.
In 2007, Alaric became a household name in Singapore with his larger-than-life comedic characters in Mediacorp Channel 5's award-winning satirical comedy sketch show, "The Noose." His performances in the show earned him two commendations at the Asian Television Awards (ATA) in 2010 and 2011.
In 2013, Alaric made his foray into the action-drama genre with his role in HBO Asia's first original series "Serangoon Road." This marked a significant milestone in his career, earning him a third commendation at the following year's ATA.
With his range expanded, Alaric took on more dramatic antagonist roles in "Mata Mata" (2013) and "Rise" (2016),showcasing his impressive acting chops.
Alaric is not only an accomplished actor but also a talented filmmaker. Throughout his career, he has written, produced, and directed half a dozen short films, which have traveled the international film festival circuit as official selections. His film "When We Were Bengs" (2006) won three awards at the ReelHeART International Film Festival in 2007.
In 2017, Alaric directed and co-produced HBO Asia's first comedy-drama series "Sent," starring Haresh Tilani and Adrian Pang.
Alaric's educational background includes a Bachelor of Film & Television from The Griffith Film School (Griffith University, Australia) and a Diploma of Film, Sound & Video from The School of Film & Media Studies (Ngee Ann Polytechnic).
