Akari Hayami is a Japanese actress, model, and former idol singer, best known as a former member and sub-leader of the popular girl group Momoiro Clover Z. Her image color in the band was blue.
Akari was scouted near her graduation from elementary school and signed to the agency Stardust Promotion. In 2008, she joined Momoiro Clover Z along with Yukina Kashiwa and Ayaka Sasaki, and the group quickly rose to fame.
In 2011, Akari announced that she would leave the group in April, citing her desire to pursue a career as an actress and model. She made her debut as a fashion magazine model and starred in the Universal Music Japan cheer-leading movie Cheerfu11y.
After leaving the group, Akari continued to work as a model and actress, appearing in various films and dramas. In 2014, she starred in her first leading role in the feature film My Pretend Girlfriend.
In 2015, Akari was selected as the seventh assistant for the talk show "A-Studio" and served until March 2016. She also played her first starring role in a drama series in "Ramen Daisuki Koizumi San".
In 2016, Akari played her first starring role on stage in "Dream Play - Dream Play". In 2017, she participated in the Live Action Gintama Live Action the Movie based on the popular Manga of the same name.
In 2018, Akari announced her engagement and held an engagement press conference. She married her partner in December of that year.
In 2020, Akari became an ambassador for the fermented skincare brand "SophisTance" and appeared in a live broadcast with the members of Momoiro Clover Z. She announced her pregnancy during the broadcast and gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, in October of that year.
In 2022, Akari appeared in the film Shin Ultraman, based on the famous Japanese superhero Ultraman.
