Akanksha Puri is a talented Indian actress and model who has made a mark in various film industries, including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Born to a retired assistant police commissioner, R.K. Puri, and an astrologer mother, Akanksha had a unique childhood, attending school on a horse cart and studying under a tree with a chalk and slate.
As a child, Akanksha was full of energy and enthusiasm, participating in tennis and basketball competitions. She completed her further studies at Carmel Convent School in Bhopal. After finishing college, Akanksha began her career as an international cabin crew member at Kingfisher Airlines, simultaneously pursuing modelling assignments.
Akanksha's modelling career took off in 2010 when she endorsed several brands, including mCaffeine, Sunfeast Dark Fantasy, and Naari collection. She then ventured into the film industry, making her debut in the Tamil film industry with Alex Pandian (2013) and Tihar (2014). She also debuted in Malayalam movies with Praise the Lord (2014) and ventured into Kannada movies with Lodde (2015).
In the same year, Akanksha was a part of Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander (2015) and Amar Akbar Anthony (2015). She also debuted in the Hindi film industry with Calendar Girls (2015),directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Additionally, she appeared in the Tamil movie Action (2019).
Apart from her film career, Akanksha has also made appearances on several television shows, including C.I.D.
