AJ Jones is a multifaceted creative professional, boasting a diverse range of skills as a director, writer, and actor. His formative years were spent in Central Florida, where he initially developed an interest in the performing arts while attending Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg, Florida.
During his time at the college, AJ had the opportunity to hone his sword fighting skills as a member of the school's Theatre Arts Society. This early exposure to the world of theatre and performance would ultimately lay the groundwork for his future pursuits in the entertainment industry.
After his time in Orlando, Florida, AJ went on to study acting under the guidance of Yvonne Suhor at Art's Sake Studio. He later relocated to Los Angeles, where he continued his studies at Sanford Meisner's Playhouse West and the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio.
Throughout his time in Los Angeles, AJ made a name for himself on the intimate theatre scene, appearing on stage in numerous productions throughout the city. He also had the opportunity to perform in New York City and San Diego, as well as in various short and independent films.
In addition to his work as an actor, AJ has also made a significant impact as a writer and director. He relocated to Atlanta, where he met his wife and producing partner, Gillie Jones. Together, they founded Renegade Creative, a production company dedicated to telling innovative, cinematic stories.
AJ's feature directorial debut, The Curse of La Patasola, was released on VOD and select theaters nationwide on January 14, 2022. This exciting new chapter in his career marks a significant milestone for AJ, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for this talented and versatile creative professional.
