Adjetey Anang is a renowned Ghanaian actor, professionally known as "Pusher", a moniker he earned from his notable role in the television series "Things We Do for Love". With an extensive career spanning over two decades, Adjetey has established himself as a multiple award-winning film and stage actor, exceling in various forms of theatre and screen productions.
Throughout his illustrious career, Adjetey has appeared in numerous Ghanaian movies, including "Deadly Voyage", "A Sting in a Tale", "The Perfect Picture", and more recently, "Sugar", "The Perfect Picture - Ten Years Later", and "Gold Coast Lounge". He has also made a notable appearance in the Dutch film "Slavery".
Adjetey has also had a significant presence on the stage, participating in several productions in Ghana, South Africa, the Netherlands, and France, such as "Through a Film Darkly", "Joe Turner's Come and Gone", "Run for your Wife", "Death and the King's Horseman", "Marriage of Anansewa", "La Cantatrice Chauve", and "Prison Graduates", among others.
Adjetey holds a First-Class Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master of Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa (Wits University). He has also attended various workshops and training programs in Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, the Netherlands, the UK, and the US.
In addition to his acting career, Adjetey is a lecturer in Acting at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI),where he teaches at the Bachelor's Degree and Diploma levels, as well as handles Acting Certificate Courses. His acting debut was on stage with Nyankunton Players, a drama group, where he was handpicked and employed by the National Drama Company (Abibiogromma). This platform showcased his talent and potential on national stage productions.
Adjetey's screen debut was on the TV Drama "1998" with Ghana's National TV station (GTV). His contemporaries, including actors and film producers, have described him as one of the best classically trained screen and stage actors in Africa, poised to take on the global stage.
