Adam's creative journey began at a tender age, as he started singing in karaoke bars and school choirs as early as six years old. His passion for performance only grew stronger as he took part in school plays and drama classes.
A turning point in his life came when he discovered Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film trilogy at the age of fifteen. This sparked a newfound love for reading, particularly Tolkein's novels, and Adam felt compelled to take up creative writing.
After completing his education, Adam honed his skills as a video editor for an alternative media group, creating short documentaries that would later feature in his college application portfolio. His talent earned him a spot in a Media and Communications course, where he could skip the first year.
In college, Adam's focus shifted from documentary filmmaking to narrative drama, and he began writing stories again. He wrote, produced, and directed his first short film, Inertia, in his final year of college. Adam graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production in 2016.
During his college tenure, Adam worked on various TV series being filmed in Ireland, including a role as Samuel Barnett's body double on Showtime's Penny Dreadful. He paid close attention to production elements, befriending assistant directors and camera assistants in the process.
Immediately after college, Adam wrote his first feature film, Follow the Dead, and went into production shortly thereafter, investing in himself and his colleagues with a bank loan. The film enjoyed a successful festival run, garnering nineteen awards and thirteen nominations worldwide, including the Best Narrative Feature award at Kerry International Film Festival.
Today, Adam is the company director for Wild Stag Productions, driven by a mission to use film as a medium for telling thought-provoking, affecting stories, with a focus on producing Irish genre films.
