Following her impressive first professional audition, Abi landed the coveted role of Cindy Lou Who in the Broadway production of How the Grinch Stole Christmas the Musical at the iconic Madison Square Garden. This milestone marked the beginning of her professional career, as she relocated to New York City, a hub for aspiring performers.
Abi's passion for the performing arts was further fueled by her collaboration with her sister, Milly Shapiro, a fellow talented artist. Together, they created a unique and captivating cabaret, aptly named "The Shapiro Sisters." This innovative sister-duo made history by becoming the first minors to write and perform their own show at the renowned 54 Below in NYC.
Throughout her high school years, Abi dedicated herself to intense ballet training at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School. After graduating, she pursued her academic and artistic aspirations by enrolling at Fordham University as a theatre major on the performance track. However, her promising university career was cut short when she received the exciting opportunity to join the cast of Doom Patrol season 2, landing the role of Dorothy Spinner.
