Biography

Aakanksha Singh is an Indian film actress who has made a significant impact in the Telugu and Hindi film and television industries. Born to the late Gyan Prakash Singh, a principal, and her mother, a theatre artist, Singh's creative inclinations were evident from an early age.

Singh's educational background is from Ryan International School, Jaipur. She began her acting career with the TV series Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha in 2012, starring alongside Kunal Karan Kapoor. The show lasted for two seasons, and Singh's performance earned her immense recognition and fame.

Following her success in television, Singh appeared in the TV series Gulmohar Grand in 2015, playing the role of Anahita "Annie" Mehta Fernandez. She also participated in the Box Cricket League (2014) in 2016, supporting team Ahmedabad Express.

Singh's film career began with The Bride of Badrinath in 2017, followed by her debut in the Telugu film MalliRaava in the same year. She also appeared in the Telugu film Devadas in 2018, as well as two short films, Methi Ke Laddoo and Qaid.

In 2019, Singh entered the Kannada film industry with Pailwaan, a film released in five languages and performed reasonably well at the box office. In 2021, she ventured into the Telugu web series industry with Parampara, which was aired on Disney+Hotstar.

Singh's desire to explore the South film industry further led her to appear in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Clap in 2022, which was aired on SonyLIV. She also acted in the Tamil film Veerapandiyapuram in 2022.
