Roland's entrepreneurial spirit emerges through his mother's illegal condom sales, which he repurposes to create slingshots for sale. His defiant nature earns him the ire of his schoolteacher, who consistently ensures he's punished. Additionally, Roland's bicycle repair business flourishes, but ultimately puts him in a precarious situation.
