Banner's quest for a cure for his condition leads him to Don Blake, a mysterious figure with ties to the legendary Viking warrior Thor.
Two years after the Hulk's emergence, Dr. David Bruce Banner is close to curing himself with the Gamma Transponder, a device he helped create. However, his plans are disrupted when Don Blake, a former colleague, steals the device and kidnaps Banner's girlfriend.
