Local Hero

In this film, a wealthy oil tycoon sends a representative to a small Scottish village to acquire the rights to build an oil refinery. The local residents are eager to gain control of the "Silver Dollar" and are thrilled with the prospect. However, a reclusive hermit and beachcomber, Ben Knox, owns a crucial piece of land and is not interested in selling. Meanwhile, the representative and his team are distracted by their own personal interests, including the Northern Lights and a mysterious woman with webbed feet.
