In a neighborhood bar filled with eccentric characters, a young man named Roary finds solace after a failed suicide attempt leaves him partially crippled. As the bartender, Jerry, unexpectedly becomes a basketball star for the Golden State Warriors, Roary and the regulars at the bar hold onto hope that his success will bring them joy. However, as Jerry's fame grows, he must navigate the challenges of his newfound fame, including his relationship with his junkie hooker girlfriend and her pimp.
