Fear of Fanny

Fanny Cradock, a prominent figure in post-war British television, is known for her distinctive appearance and tyrannical behavior. Despite her husband and co-presenter Johnnie's attempts to intervene, she disowns her son Chris due to his wife's disapproval. Fanny's downfall begins when she belittles a competition winner, Gwen, on a television reality show, sparking a public backlash that leads to her termination. After Johnnie's passing, Fanny is forced to live in a retirement home, still trying to exert control over the cooking.
