Claudie Blakley's journey in the world of performing arts began with her graduation from London's Central School of Speech and Drama in 1997. That same year, she gained recognition for her portrayal of Wendy in the National Theatre's Christmas production of 'Peter Pan', opposite the esteemed Ian McKellen.
She continued her association with the National Theatre, participating in their 1998-99 season at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, where she received the Ian Charleson Award for her outstanding performance in Chekhov's 'The Seagull'.
In the early 2000s, Claudie made her mark in the film industry, appearing in ensemble costume films such as 'Gosford Park' (2001) and 'The Cat's Meow' (2001). She then returned to the stage in 2003, joining the Royal Shakespeare Company in 'All's Well That Ends Well', opposite the renowned Judi Dench.
Claudie's film credits include a touching portrayal of Charlotte Lucas in Joe Wright's adaptation of 'Pride & Prejudice' (2005),opposite Keira Knightley, and a starring role as the ill-fated Jill in the cult horror-comedy 'Severance' (2006),alongside Danny Dyer and Toby Stephens.
Between 2007 and 2011, Claudie completed two ensemble costume pieces for television, 'Cranford' (2007-09) and 'Lark Rise To Candleford' (2008-11),as the beloved Emma Timmins, opposite Brendan Coyle.
Since then, Claudie has gone on to have a diverse and accomplished career in film, television, and theatre, with recent highlights including 'Chimerica' and 'Consent' in London's West End.
